Anglesey Abbey
This is sadly probably the worst place we have been to since we took up vacation van life in three plus years. It's not only due to the lack of dog friendliness but the terrible parking management. Dog Friendly? Score 0/10. It's one thing to have the house and gardens off limits, but to suggest there is a route around the outside of the estate but not actually signpost it and let the local authority put up public footpath signs is poor. We did walk a little of the way to the river at the back where there was an old mill but then it became a little less than obvious where to go! Signposting was conspicuous by its absence. Parking? Score 3/10. It was Sunday of the May Day Bank Holiday. The weather was dry and reasonably sunny. Prime Nations Trust visiting conditions. The main car-park doesn't have a height barrier.
