TomTom Camper Max - Blanking Screen

After a recent upgrade to the software we have had a problem where the Camper Max screen blanks as it makes the transition between the longer distance screen and the zoom in for a junction.  This usually results in a last minute panic as it does it right on the verge of the turn.

When it restarts itself it goes back to start the route from the beginning and then jumps to the place where the GPS shows you to be.  

There are lots of posts on the TomTom forums about this and they go back to late 2024.

TomTom have removed access to the helpdesk so everything is done through the forum. It seems that they have moderators, some are quite reasonable but one is what can only be called a "rude wanker".

Today there was an upgrade to the software and I downloaded it and then created a short route with a waypoint and a destination.

The route was to the Aldi near where I live with a waypoint at Tesco in Cheriton.  As we were going to both it seemed an easy route to follow and see if there were any problems.  

As we were in the car and not the van, Claire sat with it on her lap.  It didn't throw up a problem.  I need to try again and have a longer route.  I can't really do this until Monday when we go and collect Malibu Molly from the secure storage facility.

I think I'll plot a route and send it to Max with a waypoint inserted between here and storage to see if it works okay. It's again only a short distance.

The problem seems to be when the routes are created on the plan.tomtom.com website and then synced to the unit. Routes created on the until work okay.
