Chatsworth Christmas Market - The Day Before and After?

Before

To give us as much time as possible at Chatsworth I looked into an overnight stay on the way up.  It's Saturday and so we don't have too many things to get in the way.

I had a look for a pub stop around Hertfordshire and was pretty much stumped for anything that leapt off the screen and said "try me!" So I fell back onto the Caravan Club website and found Ashridge Farm (https://www.caravanclub.co.uk/club-sites/england/south-east-england/hertfordshire/ashridge-farm-club-campsite/) in Hertfordshire.  It will cost £31 for the night, hardstanding with EHU included. Not too bad. From the reviews it seems like a very decent site.

I booked it not long ago and have the confirmation printed and in the "Devall Travels" folder. Yep. We have a folder/clipboard for all the booking printouts!

After

Since we had the motorhome and now the campervan we have been going to Suffolk a lot.  With other commitments on all but one of the weekends in December,  we thought we could incorporate the run back from the Peak District to Kent via Suffolk.

Whilst Claire contacted her sister, I contacted the Sibton White Horse (https://www.sibtonwhitehorseinn.co.uk/) to see if they had a pitch for one night, and a table for lunch the day after. They did. Sister and husband can come. All booked for 1215 on Thursday.

When we went there in September we stayed two nights and we had lunch outside as we had Reggie with us. He can be with us if we eat in the bar part of the pub but not in the full restaurant.

We need to be away after lunch for the long drive home. In fact it seems that Chatsworth to Sibson is roughly about the same distance as Chatsworth to home!

But it kills two birds with one stone - so to speak!
